This Privacy Policy describes how Langulife collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Langulife mobile application (the “Service”). This policy outlines our compliance with global privacy regulations. By using the Service, you agree with Langulife's collection, use, and sharing of your personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We collect the following categories of information to provide and maintain the Service:
Account Data: Name and email address provided during registration.
User Content: Voice recordings, text-based responses, and chat logs generated by the user within the Service.
Technical Identifiers: IP address, device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers (UID).
Usage Metadata: Interaction data, including feature usage and session duration, collected via Firebase .
Transaction Data: All financial transactions are processed by Apple or Google. We do not collect or store credit card numbers or banking information.
Data is processed for the following specific purposes:
Functionality: To facilitate communication features and provide feedback on user-generated content (voice and text).
System Notifications: To deliver system-critical emails, specifically password reset links, via Resend.
Maintenance: To monitor app stability and resolve technical errors via Firebase.
Security: To detect and prevent fraudulent activity or violations of our terms.
We share limited data with the following sub-processors to fulfill the technical requirements of the Service:
Firebase (Google): Analytics and performance monitoring.
Resend: Delivery of system-generated emails (password resets).
Cloud Infrastructure Providers (AWS, Supabase, Google Cloud): Secure, encrypted hosting of databases and user content.
Third parties are contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing these specific services.
Retention: Personal data is retained only for as long as the user account remains active.
Account Deletion: In compliance with Apple Rule 5.1.1(v), users may initiate permanent account deletion directly within the Account Settings menu. This action permanently deletes the user profile and all associated public answers and recordings.
Chat Logs: For service integrity and continuity, chat logs are not automatically deleted via the in-app deletion tool. Users may submit a separate request for the permanent removal of their personal chat history via the Report a Problem feature.
Data Purge: Upon a valid deletion request, all associated personal data is removed from our active production databases within 30 days.
We employ industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for data in transit and at rest. Access to user data is strictly limited to authorized personnel required for technical support and service maintenance.
The Service is restricted to users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under this age. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately.
We reserve the right to modify this policy. Users will be notified of material changes via in-app notification or email.
